HISTORY

Union Pacific Motor Freight was the name of Union Pacific's motor carrier company. Throughout the 1970s Union Pacific's hottest piggyback trains were the SUPER VAN and the Overland Mail. These trains usually consisted of two DDA40Xs between a single 8000 series "Fast Forty" SD40-2.
